A streaming mixer as capable as the VR-400UHD deserves zero-compromise video and image quality support — and that’s precisely what Roland did. This well-accommodating mixer provides support for 4K/60p, HDR (BT.2020) up to 1080/60p, and SDR (Rec.709) video resolutions to ensure your captured footage stuns clients and audiences time and time again. The VR-400UHD also affords you the freedom to use onboard HDMI In/Out scalers for combining 4K/FHD, HDR/SDR, and Rec.2020/709 formats in the same shot, allowing for professionally varied side-by-sides with ease. In terms of graphic stills and images, BMP, JPEG, and PNG files are all importable via USB and storable through eight PNG alpha channel-supported onboard memory banks. With two 7" touchscreens make it simple to monitor video content and execute operations with quick touches. In the default PGM/PST mode, you can monitor and select up to eight video scenes on the right screen and access various video switching and audio functions on the left. Switching to Dual mode allows you to send video to both displays, which is great for events where you need to operate multiple presentation screens at once.

And with the USB-C webcam output (SDR only) and integrated USB 3.2 Gen 2 support, you can simultaneously livestream to popular platforms on your computer. With its loaded rear panel, the VR-400UHD offers the audio and video connectivity you need to handle a variety of production situations without external mixers, switchers, and other gear. The rest of the VR-400UHD’s surface is loaded with comprehensive backlit tactile controls engineered for efficient referencing and command while under pressure. The right side of the panel is where you’ll find all the physical controls for your video workflow. Here, you’ll be able to make better sense of transition, keying, and sizing commands, complete with an ultra-responsive Positioner joystick and more. In contrast, the left side of the panel is your physical haven for all things audio. With access to individual and main faders for Mic, Line, USB, and HDMI sources, device leveling is streamlined and arrayed for a familiar feel.
