The set is built with 9-ply shell construction (6mm on toms and floor toms, 7mm on bass drum), where eight layers of bubinga are combined with an outer layer of Figured African Cherry. The result is a powerful projection, clear attack, and a dark, controlled sound with huge bottom. The deeper empty dimensions are a deliberate choice to further enhance the natural resonance of the bubinga. The Star-Cast Mounting System provides minimal contact with the body and allows the drums to vibrate freely. Die-Cast hoops contribute to focused tone, stable tuning, and clear attack.
