JL.SUNTER MAS BARAT 1 BLOK H.9 NO.4 JAKARTA UTARA
Marcus Miller, a world-renowned jazz musician, composer, producer, and most importantly, bassist, joined forces with Sire and over the course of several years created a groundbreaking bass concept that is now making its way to our shores. What's groundbreaking about this collaboration is not just the bass itself, but also includes components such as development, production and distribution, all set up to make the price of this exceptional instrument accessible to all. Now Sire has introduced a new generation of the instrument - thanks to customer feedback and active listening to players, even the smallest flaws have been fine-tuned and already hilarious features brought to perfection.
Marcus Miller is known for his musical perfectionism, and he has done the same with this bass. The modernly shaped body made of select swamp ash has two deep cutouts for easy access to the higher positions. Ash is characterized by a full sound with a more subdued midrange, which is very suitable for slap. The maple and mahogany combination neck has an ebony fingerboard fitted with 24 frets and a right bone fretboard, which is mainly used on much more expensive instruments. The specific properties of the bone ensure a balanced and clearly audible tone. The edges of the fingerboard are now rounded for a more comfortable grip. The massive Marcus Miller Heavy Mass Custom headstock with through-body string attachment contributes to better articulation and perfect frequency transfer to the body.
The Marcus Miller Heritage-3 active electronics with a three-band equalizer, a volume control between the pickups, and a combined tone-shutter and overall volume potentiometer contribute significantly to the final sound of this bass. The combination centre control offers specific frequency selection in addition to gain and attenuation. The bass is equipped with two humbuckers and a trio of three-position switches for selecting pickup engagement and active or passive mode. The bass is sonically very variable and finds its application in a wide range of musical genres and playing styles.
