Guitar virtuoso Nick Johnston's personal preferences directed the design of the Schecter Nick Johnston Traditional HSS, optimizing it for fast, technical playability. Equipped with a rock-solid roasted maple neck with Nick Johnston "C" neck profile, a 14-inch-radius maple fingerboard, and jumbo frets, this instrument is ideal for lightning-fast leads. And while its playability and response are sure to appeal to rock and metal players, its HSS pickup configuration with two Nick Johnston single-coil pickups yields a universe of tonal textures to explore. This killer axe also features a Diamond Vintage Tremolo for expressive bends and dives, and a Graph Tech XL Black TUSQ nut to make sure the tremolo action is as smooth as possible.

Nick Johnston burst onto the progressive rock scene in the past decade as a young, visionary player who drew on many styles to produce truly innovative sounds and melodic instrumentals. Fittingly, the Nick Johnston Traditional HSS features a Nick Johnston "C"-shaped, roasted maple neck that is ideal for exploring the type of aggressive artistry he has become known for. The maple fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets produces wonderful intonation, in addition to being smooth and responsive. And really cool brass circle fingerboard inlays add an enticing visual to this already stunning neck.

To cover the vast sonic territory Nick's compositions encompass, the Schecter Nick Johnston Traditional HSS guitar is equipped with Nick Johnston single-coil pickups in the neck and middle positions, with a Diamond '78 humbucker in the bridge position. It's a tried-and-true configuration when you need access to sweeter, snappier single-coil tones and heavy, rich humbucking tones in equal measure. Even better, the push-pull tone pot allows you to drop the output for a more vintage tonality.
