EVANS HD (Heavy Duty Dry) snare drumheads effectively balance durability and sonic response. snare heads feature 2 ply construction, combining a 5-mil film outer ply and a 7.5 -mil film inner ply. Evans Heavy Duty series drum heads feature precision-drilled dry vents around the perimeter of the head and a 2-mil overtone control ring on the underside that "floats" with the head, eliminating excessive overtones and controlling sustain. Snare heads feature two plies of film.
