The 6.5" x 14" Aluminum Snare Drum from DW features an ultra thin 1mm rolled shell.  This shell construction provides this drum with a resonant tone with considerably more overtones than other metal drums with a thicker shell. The 'workhorse' style snare wires make this drum perfect for practically any genre of music and is finish in a nice matte grey powder coat so it will compliment any drum set nicely. At just 1mm thick, this 6.5x14 DW Collectors Series Thin Aluminum Snare Drum is quite different from its cast-model cousin. The thin bead-less shells offer a more resonant tone with more overtones. These Aluminum drums feature a thin rolled shell and are workhorse snares that will be right at home in any musical situation. The drum is finished with a matte grey powder coat and has rolled bearing edges and snare beds.
