First, the V31 sound module features the same sound engine as Roland's flagship V71, as well as its onboard Wi-Fi, which makes downloading new sounds easier than ever before. What’s more, you can import your own sounds via an SDHC slot (SD card sold separately) to craft wild custom kits or borrow a couple of studio-quality artist signature kits by using your new 6-month Roland Cloud Ultimate subscription. Finally, the pads are a combination of old classics and cutting-edge designs, sporting thin CY-12C-T and CY-14R-T cymbals, a time-tested KD-10 kick tower, the superbly nuanced PDX-12 snare pad, an expressive VH-10 hi-hat pad, and three new PD-H Standard series tom pads. You also get Roland’s MDS-COM2 drum rack, so you can set up and start playing in no time.
