Best Ever Yamaha Digital Piano Sound
As with previous Clavinova models, the CLP785 features the sound of various grand and upright pianos, including the world-class Yamaha CFX and Bosendorfer Imperial concert grands. The CFX sample has been improved for this new range and both the CFX and Bosendorfer voices are binaural - meaning that they offer a 3D type listening experience when using headphones.

In addition to the two 'core' concert grand piano voices, the CLP785 offers the following piano options: Upright Piano (Yamaha SU7), Studio Grand (Yamaha C7), Bright Grand, Mellow Grand, Ballad Grand, Warm Grand, Pop Grand, Jazz Grand, Rock Grand and Honky Tonk. There are also four Fortepiano voices for times when you need a more traditional sound: Scarlatti Piano, Beethoven Piano, Mozart Piano and Chopin Piano.

The keyboard touch of a piano is just as important as the sound. The CLP785 is fitted with the Improved Yamaha GrandTouch keyboard. For the most authentic piano touch, the keys of the CLP785 are made using solid wood, and along with the synthetic ivory & ebony keytops provide an exquisite playing experience.

Grand Piano Response Damper Pedal
Yamaha has worked hard to ensure that the physical resistance felt when pressing the damper piano pedal replicates that of a grand piano. The damper pedal offers half-pedalling for the ultimate control during your performance.

Touch Panel User Interface
New for the CLP700 series instruments is the addition of a Touch Sensor Control Panel which self-hides when not in use. The user interface is intuitive and all functions are accessed via the 128 x 64 dots LCD screen. Bluetooth connectivity means that the CLP785 is fully compatible with the Yamaha Smartpianist App - making control a breeze using an Android or Apple iOS device.

High-Quality Amplifiers for A Rich Sound
2 x (50w + 50w + 50w) Amplifiers provide power to a six-speaker system - all strategically placed inside the cabinet to provide the best playing experience. Speaker cones are made from Spruce - the same wood used for piano soundboards and the bodies of acoustic guitars to give the ultimate sound clarity and projection.

16 Track Recording
The CLP785 offers a full 16 track recording feature. This means you can create orchestrations not only using the piano voices, but any of the 533 onboard sounds, plus 14 Drum/SFX kits. Whether you are composing an orchestral film score or a contemporary pop song, the CLP785's on-board recorder allows you to record your performance quickly and effortlessly. Save your compositions to a USB memory stick as a high-quality WAV file for sharing with your family and friends online, or export as MIDI for further editing in your favourite PC/MAC recording software.
