Artisan B5 Element are the completely revamped group of basses that combines only the best elements from the highly popular Artisan B-class basses, including roasted maple fretboard on 5pc panga-panga / walnut neck, Bartolini® MK-1 pickups and Bartolini® MK-1 preamp set, and Hipshot® Ultralite tuners. Newly added are the new high-mass MetalCraft M5 bridges with dual string loading system that greatly enhances resonance and tone transfer, and a rounder ergonomic mahogany body with beautifully figured ash top that come in 3 different color options. The combination of right elements, together with Cort’s dedication to quality, makes the Artisan B5 Element an outstanding choice for pro musicians and enthusiasts alike.

The new Element bass guitars from Cort combine the best elements of the Artisan B series, quality workmanship and a great price/performance ratio, which will please not only professional musicians, but also music enthusiasts looking for a really high quality instrument at a reasonable price.

The body of the instrument is made of mahogany wood and complemented by an ash top, which gives the instrument not only a natural aesthetic but also great resonance, as well as a warm and penetrating, yet still beautifully audible, sound. The bolt-on neck is made from a combination of Panga Panga and walnut, which perfectly complements the mahogany body of the instrument with its bright, rather midrange sound. The maple fingerboard is treated using an oxygen-free baking technique, which provides increased stability, a denser sound and, most importantly, an interesting vintage aesthetic.

Sound pickups are provided by a pair of pickups from the renowned Bartolini company, specifically the MK-1 model. These provide the traditional sonic qualities that the company's pickups are renowned for. You can expect punchy and dense bass, warm midrange frequencies and superbly clear highs. The resulting sound is balanced and natural. The pickups are complemented by the MK-1 preamplifier, which, in addition to crystal-clear amplification, also features a flexible three-band equalizer, so you can be sure to find the perfect sound for every occasion. The circuit can also be switched between active and passive modes, so you can choose between a powerful and modern or natural and traditional sound.

The stable tuning is taken care of by Hipshot's Ultralite mechanics, while the massive MetalCraft M headstock is made to allow the most perfect vibration transfer from the strings to the body of the instrument. This is also helped by the possibility of attaching the strings both through the body of the instrument and only on its top side. This also gives you the ability to find the optimum string tension and sustain for your playing style.
