Ins, outs, and faders for six speakers
Bring a handful of mics, and you’re all set to record ensemble podcast productions and full-cast commentaries in HD CD-quality right onto your Zoom PodTrak P8. The P8 gives you six mic preamps with selectable phantom power to support your favorite handhelds and studio condenser mics. Six dedicated headphone outputs with independent color-coded volume knobs make it easy for your operator and guests to adjust playback levels. And you also get six independent faders (again, color-coded) to mix stream-ready podcasts and livereads without the need for a laptop. Need to fly in sounds from a laptop? Channel 6 lets you access the P8’s native USB connection.
9 x 4 assignable sound pads
The PodTrak P8 also gives a versatile soundbank of 36 assignable sounds controlled by nine soft-touch silicone pads. The P8 ships with 13 preloaded sounds — applause, laugh track, and more — to get you started right out of the gate. But once you master the PodTrak P8’s editing software, you’ll be dropping in song clips, fanfares, and ad spots unique to each episode.
Dedicated call-in channel
Got a special guest who can’t make it to the studio? The PodTrak P8’s dedicated call-in channel routes phone calls into your episode. You can either use the P8’s hardwired mix-minus audio channel or connect calls wirelessly over Bluetooth. Note: Bluetooth operation requires the Zoom BTA-2 Bluetooth adapter, sold separately.
Optional AA battery power
With the Zoom PodTrak P8, even the most remote corners of the globe can’t stand between you and your listeners. Pop in four AA batteries, and you’ll have up to two hours of operating time until you get back to AC power.
Records directly onto SD card
