If you're a younger player, a beginner, or are just looking for a bass with a shorter reach, then check out the Squier Bronco electric bass. A shorter scale length of only 30" boasts 19 medium jumbo frets on a maple neck, and a Special Design single-coil pickup in the middle position projects a warm tone full of depth and clarity. A sharp-looking agathis body provides a well-balanced resonance as well as a comfortable fit against your front, and chrome finish hardware along with a 3-ply white pickguard all add a classy visual finesse.
Agathis Bronco Body
Your Squier Bronco electric bass boasts a cool-looking agathis body in a curvy and comfy Fender Mustang-style Bronco shape. As a tonewood, agathis will place an emphasis on your lows and mids, pushing a warm resonance full of body in a manner that's less intense than mahogany. A healthy heaping of low end oomph is a solid characteristic for a bass guitar, especially if you want to bring a little more growl to the stage.
Shorter-Scaled Maple Neck
Starting out with a shorter scale length has many advantages. It can be a plus if you're a smaller-sized musician and are looking for something a little more comfortable. Shorter-scaled necks will have closer frets and looser strings -- two characteristics that can be helpful for a burgeoning bass player. Maple yields a slight push on those higher frequencies for a pleasantly vibrant resonance.
