The updated Hummingbird Studio Rosewood is hand-built using all solid tonewoods and is equipped with an Advanced Response profile utile neck for smooth, easy playability. It features a full-depth body for enhanced tonal response and a satin nitrocellulose finish, giving it the look and feel of a long-treasured musical companion. Available in Satin Natural and Satin Rosewood Burst finishes (including a left-handed model), the Hummingbird Studio Rosewood has an L.R. Baggs™ Element Bronze active under-saddle piezo pickup for easy studio-quality plug-and-play anywhere. Packaged in an included hardshell case for portability.

That all changes with the Gibson Hummingbird Studio Walnut! Now boasting a full-depth body, this model clocks in even closer to standard Hummingbird specs. Moreover, Gibson graced this Studio series model with a full gloss nitrocellulose lacquer top — the same finish found on Gibson’s top-of-the-line models — to pair with the understated appeal of its satin back, sides, and neck.

The Hummingbird Studio’s dreadnought body shape offers lots of volume and power but keeps both in check with modified square shoulders. This Gibson touch that enhances note clarity and balances dynamics. Unlike a traditional round-shouldered dreadnought, the Hummingbird Studio’s square-shouldered body shape helps focus overwhelming lows, thus eliminating muddy sounds, even when playing gets loud. With the Hummingbird Studio, you can enjoy a satisfying big-bodied acoustic sound that’s easy to deploy onstage or in the studio. Moreover, this Hummingbird Studio features the original Hummingbird’s slightly deeper body depth for fuller sound, extra sustain, and tastier overtone shimmer as notes decay.
