Sundance Historic is an elegant example of 1940's style instruments carefully designed in the classic styles by Michael Sanden. Every guitar features a solid North American Spruce top, African Mahogany neck with diamond volute and low key cosmetics commensurate with the era.
Michael spent a long time fine tuning the quarter sawn Spruce bracing to match the resonance of the tone woods and the outcome is a vintage voiced model range that is still distinctively Tanglewood. British brand Tanglewood introduces more affordable acoustic guitars in retro and modern designs. The TW40 SD VS E is a Dreadnought Slope Shoulder electro-acoustic guitar with a semi-massive body construction. The solid spruce soundboard is complemented by a plywood mahogany back and sides. The figured fig fingerboard is divided by twenty frets and white position dots.
The sound system is powered by Fishman Sonitone electronics, with the controls subtly set into the guitar's soundhole. The strings are held in chrome tuning machines and a walnut fingerboard. The nice workmanship is accentuated by the bright binding, the Vintage Sunburst Gloss top color finish and a handy pickguard that protects the instrument's glossy lacquer from scratches.
