From one of the first companies in the game comes the Peavey Dark Matter 115 powered loudspeaker. Far from just another retread of a PA speaker, Sound engineers love the cutting edge features that make getting your system set up and sounding great fast and easy, no matter what environment you may be in. Harnessing the power of DSP in the power section you'll enjoy efficient high-SPL performance. And the DSP-based equalization lets you dial in EQ presets for different applications, speaker positions, and locations. The rugged Peavey DM 115 powered loudspeaker is designed to perform with the best.
Peavey Dark Matter 115 Powered PA Speaker at a Glance:
Preset EQ curves make tuning to a room a snap
With some older PA speakers a bad room would equal bad sound. Kiss those days goodbye! Thanks to powerful DSP control over the Dark Matter 115's equalization you can set the PA speaker up and, with a quick look at the built-in LCD screen, dial in a preset EQ curve perfect for the situation the speaker is in. Is the preset pretty close but not just how you want it sounding? Not a problem. You also get control of the bass and treble controls with the same DSP. Now you can make your powered PA speakers sound the way you want them to!
Quadratic Throat Waveguide technology ensures distortion free performance
Yup, Quadratic Throat Waveguide technology. It's Peavey's proprietary technology ensuring hours and hours of distortion free performance from their loudspeakers' horns, and the Dark Matter 115's got it! To get technical, it's a method of making the sound originate from the same exact point in the horn to avoid the distortion caused by some other designs. See, it's far less intimidating than it seems. While there won't be a test on this later, you can at least set up at your gig fully assured you'll get nothing but clear distortion free performance.
Rugged design provides years of trouble-free use
PA systems take a beating. The DM 115 powered loudspeaker is designed to take it and keep rocking! Forget for a second that a PA speaker's job entails constant loud vibration for hours on end, day in and day out. But if you don't have PA speakers that hold up to being moved around and loaded in and out of vehicles you can kiss your PA system goodbye before long. The DM 115, along with the other powered speaker products in the Dark Matter line, is built with an injection molded cabinet and steel grille. The DM 115 can take what you can dish out.
