The Crush Bass 50 combines the essence of a practice rig with tones and features usually reserved for professionals. The Crush Bass 50 draws inspiration from the flagship Orange OB1 and 4 Stroke amplifiers, bringing some of the defining elements of each into a compact combo. Like everything from the Crush Bass line, this 50 Watt model delivers a bold, punchy stance from the analog circuitry and ported cabinet. The highly flexible active EQ section includes a sweepable parametric mid band, allowing players to shape their signature sound without restriction. For even more versatility, the interactive Gain and Blend controls are primed to easily create huge “bi-amped” style tones, adding extra harmonics and variable levels of grit to the core bass tone. They can also be activated remotely using an optional footswitch. Other handy features include a buffered effects loop, integrated tuner, aux. Headphone input and output with Orange's Cabsim circuitry for live recording or silent practice.
An update to the popular Crush Pix bass combo amplifier from Orange, the Orange Crush Bass 50 injects excitement into your practice sessions. Loaded with features from high-end OB1 and 4 Stroke amps, Orange infuses the Crush Bass 50 with plenty of sound-shaping power, thanks to an active EQ and parametric midrange control. A ported cabinet infuses this 50-watt powerhouse with ample low power. All-analog circuitry reproduces the classic warmth favored by iconic bassists such as Geddy Lee, John McVie, and Glenn Hughes. The Crush Bass 50 features an EQ circuit inspired by our prestigious 4 Stroke Series amplifiers. At its center is the parametric mid band. This provides players with a much greater degree of control over the sound than traditional EQ, allowing them to vary the frequencies they want to hear. The mid band covers a wide range, from 300Hz (counterclockwise) to 2.7kHz (fully clockwise), meaning this amp can be adapted to any musical style. Active circuitry allows up to 15dB of boost or cut on the bass and mid frequencies, and up to 20dB on the treble side.
Features:
50-watt bass combo amplifier with all-analog, solid-state circuitry
Active 3-band EQ and parametric mid control for sound shaping
Ported cabinet delivers ample low end from a small amp
Redesigned 12″ speaker yields classic bass tones
Authentic-sounding CabSim headphone output for silent practice
Aux input for connecting media devices
Onboard chromatic tuner
