The Continental Series is based on classic Ludwig designs and features a unique hybrid maple shell. The Continental Series offers a colorful palette of sounds, as found in Ludwig's USA-made kits, and is available in configurations tailored to the European drummer. This Continental model boasts contemporary sizing with USA-style fittings and classic colour finishes. It features Maple/Agathis shells, elite lugs, natural Maple bass drum hoop with matching inlay, Vibraband tom suspension system, elite pro spurs, virgin kick drum, and Remo UT heads. The Continental Pro Beat comes in a stylish Natural Maple Lacquer finish, and includes a 24x14" bass drum, 13x9" rack tom, 16x16" floor tom, and a 14x6.5" snare drum.
