Phantom-powered Active Circuitry Unleashes Clean Headroom
An active DI like the Klark Teknik DN100 V2 can dramatically enhance your stage and studio setup. The DN100 V2 boasts an ultra-clean active circuitry that's powered by standard 48-volt phantom power from your console — just connect the XLR output to your board, engage that channel's phantom power, and that's all there is to it. This active circuitry gives the DN100 V2 a high headroom and a wide dynamic range to accurately capture the keyboard, guitar modeler, or other balanced instrument source you've got plugged in.
In addition to being a convenient way to get a stage signal into your board over long distances, the DN100 V2 also gives you parallel XLR and TRS outputs that'll let you send your signal to an amplifier or other input source. Around back, Pad and Earth switches insulate your signal against unwanted overages and excess hum due to ground loops. Worried about rowdy performers stomping all over your gear? The Klark Teknik DN100 V2's thick aluminum housing and rough-and-tumble silicone rubber bumpers are enough to instill confidence in the most protective sound engineer.
A custom instrumentation-grade balanced input circuit was designed for the DN200 using advanced analogue design techniques to create the very high input impedance required by passive guitar and bass pickups, whilst keeping the actual component values low to minimize noise. This innovative approach to circuit design produces a very low noise floor, which combined with the high clipping point creates an unrivalled dynamic range in a +48 V phantom powered DI Box.
DN200 features dual parallel-connected combo XLR’s / ¼" TRS inputs. When connecting to the Combo XLR input, the input impedance is 20 kΩ, ideal for line level equipment and offering even lower noise performance. This input impedance is far too low for guitar and bass pickups and is removed from the circuit when a jack plug is inserted into the Combo ¼" TRS input, resulting in a nominal 1 MΩ input impedance, ideal for passive electric pickups.
DN200 is also equipped with a Stereo input mini jack which is ideal for connecting MP3 players or mobiles phones etc.
