The Exotic Purpleheart Snare 14"x6,5" Quilted Maple convinces with outstanding workmanship and professional sound. Due to the hard texture of the wood, the DW Exotic Snare unfolds a hard, projection-rich sound, characterized by controlled overtones - an absolute all-rounder. The thirteen-ply HVLT shell consists of 12 plies of Purpleheart and an Exotic outer ply of Quilted Maple. The solid hoops in the form of DW True Hoops deliver clearly focused sound and powerful rim shots. Batter and resonance head are made by Remo, thanks to the True Pitch tuning rods with fine thread a robust and sensitive tuning is guaranteed. The MAG throw-off can be adjusted comfortably and impresses with excellent handling.

Collector's Series Maple snare drums are the standard from which all other DW snare drums are measured. This classy DW Collectors Maple snare drum finished in a Quilted Chic veneer has been crafted from hand-selected North American Maple and fitted with gold hardware. This 9-ply VLT shell features 60-degree bearing edges for optimal resonance and attack. The lacquered interior is an amazing little detail that adds a touch of brightness to a snare with a full tonal spectrum and plenty of body. The Collector's Series maple is a workhorse wood snare drum that will fit any musical genre.
