With 15dB of available boost or cut per band, the BEQ700 allows you to effectively cut or boost whatever frequencies you need to perfect your signature sound. Featuring a status LED for effect on/off and battery check, the Behringer Bass Graphic Equalizer BEQ700 can run either on a 9V battery or on AC power.

The Behringer Bass Graphic Equalizer BEQ700 covers the audio spectrum from 50Hz to 10kHz. The uber-low frequencies from 50Hz to 100Hz are typically felt more than they are heard. Boosting these lower frequencies can dramatically increase your bass guitar's power and thickness, while cuts can render it weak and anemic. Gentle boosts from around 100Hz to 250Hz can give your bass warmth and body, but beware - boost too much and your tone will slip into the mud! The critical midrange between 400Hz and 1000Hz is where most of your bass's energy and impact lies, due to the human ear's sensitivity to those frequencies.

Behringer - a brief history

Uli Behringer showed an interest in music technology design at a young age, building his own synthesizer by the age of 16. In 1982, Uli began studying sound engineering and classical piano at the Robert Schumann conservatory in Dusseldorf, Germany. Uli's defining moment came when he was repairing a signal processor made by a high-end manufacturer. Despite the processor's expensive price tag, Uli realized that its internal components could be bought for a fraction of the cost. Being a strapped-for-cash student, Uli began building his own signal processors. Before he knew it, other students began requesting equipment from him. In 1989, after being bombarded with more orders than he could handle by himself, Uli created Behringer, Inc.
