A compact piano with sounds and features that will meet the needs of advanced players
Yamaha's P Series digital pianos are well-liked by piano players around the world who want the comfortable feel of an acoustic piano in an instrument with a more manageable size and weight. Compared to its predecessor, the P-225 has a much shorter and thinner body design with a compact style. This model looks beautiful from any angle, and blends well in any room. To allow for a smaller product chassis, we developed a new GHC (Graded Hammer Compact) keyboard (88 keys), which is built to standards without sacrificing quality and offers the same weighted acoustic piano-like playing feel as the GHS (Graded Hammer Standard) keys used on previous model in the P Series.
The P-225 features the sound of Yamaha's premiere concert grand piano, the CFX, and this model uses Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) Lite technology to replicate the expressive moment-to-moment pitch changes found on a real grand piano. Whether you are an advanced piano player or a serious beginner with a desire to learn to play the piano, the P-225 is the perfect choice.
One of the main concerns for piano players when purchasing a digital piano is related to the feel of the keyboard when they play. Some of the things that players are specifically concerned with include whether they can feel the weight of the keys in their fingers as with a weighted acoustic piano keyboard; will the keyboard respond accurately when they play quicker passages; are there any inconsistencies between how hard they play the keys and the sound that results; does the keyboard offer a sufficient soft-to-loud dynamic range. The newly developed and more compact GHC keyboard on the new P-series reproduces the playing comfort of its predecessors in every way. Further, the keyboard unit is more compact than previous models, while offering an outstanding playing feel.
By linking the P-225 with Yamaha’s dedicated Smart Pianist digital piano app, you can intuitively perform all operations from the screen of your smart device. There’s no longer any need to pull out the manual to see how things work. With the Smart Pianist app, you can take your piano playing to the next level. This app allows you to control all the P-225's functions and access additional features that go beyond what the instrument can do alone. Bluetooth audio allows you to seamlessly connect your device to your digital piano so you can listen to and enjoy playing along with your favorite songs. USB to HOST (MIDI & Audio) streamlines your music-making process with a single cable.
