Continuing the evolution of hybrid guitar tone, the RH150G3 amp head is powered by the Valve-Dynamic™ power circuit, providing professional level performance at a practical price. Equipped with a tube driven MOSFET power amp, tone purists will find the G3 tone surprisingly percussive, lush, and full. Traditional hard core metal fans will be awash in a tight, punishing low end and razor sharp mids and highs. With 150 watts, the RH150G3 has plenty of power for clubs. Great looks and power enough to drive multiple stacked enclosures. Spring reverb included.
The Power of Valve-Dynamic™.
Breaking the tone barrier between Tube and FET has been a challenge to most amp designers for a long time. But, during the recent development of the V2 and T2, Randall made several ground breaking discoveries that allowed them to narrow in as to why tube power reacts and feels so much differently than a traditional solid-state power amp. Those discoveries resulted in the revolutionary "Valve-Dynamic™" power section.
Incorporating a single 12AT7 tube to drive a large MOSFET output circuit, this highly advanced power circuit has a natural compression that clips extremely soft at higher volumes reacting very much like a traditional power tube. The key or secret to this new circuit however, was capturing or emulating the true frequency response curve of a standard power tube that has very unique characteristics to that of solid-state power amp. The Valve-Dynamic circuit not only captures a tube's reactive qualities, but also the warmth, feel, and musical character of a full tube power amp, but with the durability of a 400 watt MOSFET power amplifier.
