The Yamaha YTS-280S Tenor Saxophone offers a perfect start because they are designed with the young beginner in mind. Based on the highly recommended YTS-275 saxophones the new YTS-280S is even further enhanced with a new, more stable neck receiver and a new low B-C# connection for better adjustment. Every Yamaha YTS-280 Tenor Saxophone also comes with a lightweight, backpack style case, mouthpiece, ligature and cap and a basic neck strap.

Neck Receiver: The YTS-280 now comes with a new and improved neck receiver which adds stability and a more comfortable playing position, with a more robust screw.

Improved Low B-C# connection: An improved mechanism from low B-C# ensures the consistent closing of the low C# key. The longer lever keeps the mechanism stable and promotes a clear response from notes in the low range of the instrument.

Adjustable thumb hook: All Yamaha saxophones feature an adjustable thumb-rest to allow for precise and comfortable hand and fingering position.
