The YFH-631G is easy to play in a traditional style and has a broad and rich tonal range. Proper intonation can be achieved by adjusting the third valve slide trigger. A larger bore helps ease the transition from trumpet to flugelhorn. A widely played instrument, the Yamaha 631G is characterised by an extremely round, mellow sound with an abundance of tonal colour. The gold-brass bell has a soft, dark sound and is finished to a high standard.
