The Tama 14x6 Starphonic Brass Snare Drum (PBR146) features a beaded 1.2mm brass shell with 45 degree bearing edges, 10 double-ended Freedom Lugs, claw hooks, Grooved Hoops, "Linear-Drive" Strainer / Detachable butt plate, 20-strand Super Sensitive Hi-Carbon Snappy Snare Wires (MS20RL14C), Tama Coated G1 batter drumhead by Evans, Tama Snare Side 300 drumhead by Evans, a polished chrome brass finish, chrome hardware, and Tama Starphonic badge.

This snare drum has rich, warm resonance, sharp projection, and exceptionally wide frequency and tuning range. Great sonic variety can be achieved by simply adjusting the tuning and snare wires. With such versatility, this is a drum that will complement any musical style or playing situation.
